HENSRUD, OLE, farmer, Westfield Township, section 17, is a native of Norway, and was
born Nov. 1,
1854. He was reared on a farm and is a son of Embrick and Bestie Hensrud, and came
to this county
from Norway in 1876. In 1879 our subject was united in marriage to Inger Hillson,
daughter of Guttorm
and Jean Hillson, of Westfield Township, and to this union ten children have been
born of whom nine
survive as follows: Emil, Guttorm, Bert, John, Carolina, Thomas, Harry, Albert,
Martin. Mr. Hensrud is a
member of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. In politics he affiliates with the
Republicans. He has been
prominent in the affairs of his vicinity, having held the position of member of the
school board, trustee
of church and overseer of hghway. He owns 160 acres of land and is ranked among the
best farmers of
the township. [page 107]
