LARSON, ANDREW J., farmer, Canisteo Township, Section 36, was born in Vernon
Township January 12,
1865, and with the exception of twenty-eight years, 1871 to 1899, spent in Lac Qui
Parle County, has
been a continuous resident of this county. His parents, Jacob and Betsy (Anderson)
Larson, were earlier
settlers, his father being a farmer. Our subject was reared on a farm and sent to
the public schools of
Lac Qui Parle County. In 1898 he was married to Miss Thea Larson, a daughter of
Gullick Larson, a
prominent pioneer of Canisteo Township. By this marriage four children were born:
Jacob, Anna and
two who died in infancy. The family of our subject affiliates with the Norwegian
Lutheran Church. Mr.
Larson is a Republican in politics and has served the public in the capacity of
highway overseer, and is a
member of the school board. He is the owner of a fine farm, and enjoys the good will
of his neighbors.
