TOLLEFSON, HERMAN M., druggist, Kasson, was born at Mapleton, Wis., Sep 19, 1863.
His parents'
names were Holver and Jorgena M. Tollefson, the father being furniture dealer by
occupation. In 1866
the family removed to Kasson, Minn., where Herman M. was reared and educated in the
public school.
In 1891 he was married to Mary C. Anderson, a daughter of Andrew Andersen and to
this union three
children have been born, Howard H., Helen M., and Marion J. Mr. Tollefson is a
member of the A. F. & A.
M., A. O. U. W. and M. W. A. He affiliates with the Lutheran church, is a staunch
Republican in politics,
but has not been an office holder. In 1901 he established the Kasson local telephone
exchange and is
the owner of the same. It is a fitting testimonial of the enterprise and
progressiveness of the citizens of
Kasson and vicinity, there being 240 phones in daily use on the exchange, Mr.
Tollefson is also
interested in farming and the owner of a one-half interest in one of the best farms
in Dodge County.
