WILLIAM F. TRIGG was born in Barren County, about four miles south of
Glasgow. In 1861 he removed to the farm where he has since resided.
His father, Alanson Trigg, was born in Virginia about 1793. He was
married to Mary, daughter of Hudson and Mary (Hawkins) Martin, also of
Virginia. From this union sprang ten children, of whom William F. is
the fifth. He married, October 16, 1876, Fannie, daughter of Edmond and
Mary (Day) Davis, of Barren County. To them have been born Thomas, Mary
Haden and John M. Mr. Trigg is a believer in the doctrines of the
Catholic Church, and in politics is a staunch Democrat. He is the owner
of one of the best houses in his section, besides 700 acres of well
improved and productive land, and is one of the extensive and most
progressive farmers of Barren County.
