EDWARD PAUL RENAKER was born in Grant County, April 18, 1868. He is
the son of Paul J. Renaker, one of the oldest citizens and best known
farmers and capitalist in Grant County. There were ten children in the
father's family, of whom Ed was the second. He was reared on a farm,
and followed farming and trading all of his life. He owns one of the
finest blue grass farms in the county, situated on the Broad Ridge road
about a mile and a half from Dry Ridge, and his acres are well kept and
well tilled. He raises fine stock, cattle, horses and hogs, and is,
taken altogether, one of the most successful farmers in the county. He
grows tobacco, and his product always commands the top prices. He is
strictly sober and highly moral, though not a member of any church. He
was educated in the common schools of the county, and got a first-class
common school education. In politics he is a Democrat of the variety
that never "scratches" and always votes. He accepts the nominees of
his party, and after the nominations are made works for them until the
polls close in November. He is considered by those who know him to be
one of the best all around political workers in the Dry Ridge precinct,
and his support is worth a good many votes at any time. Ed was married
to Miss Fanny Thomas March 17, 1892, and they have lived happily
together ever since, but have been blessed with no children.
