JOHN PENNINGTON (Hyden, Kentucky, January 20, 1898.)
I live in Jackson County, Gray Hawk Post Office. My grandfather was
Aaron Pennington. He came from North Carolina, at an early age and
settled on the head of Cutshin then called New Harlan. His wife was a
Coldiron. My grandfather's children were: Levi, Jesse, Henry, William,
Ephraim, James, Nancy, and Malinda. My grandfather had a brother who came
from North Carolina and settled on Poor Fork. He was the grandfather of
Capt. John Pennington of near mouth of Pond Creek. I do not know Dr.
Pennington of London.
