    Mrs. J. P. (Katie Aweris Marsden) Jones, was born August 13, 1867 in Beeville.  She came to Brady with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Marsden, on October 31, 1885.  Mrs. Jones was a school teacher and taught in one of the early schools in Brady.  At that time the school building was a three-room frame building located on the old Schaeg lot.  Mrs. Jones is a member of the Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
    Dr. and Mrs. Jones have three children, Miss Fannie Jones, Thomas A. Jones, and W. A. Jones, all of Brady.
