William Newton Liverman, son of Nancy Margaret (Sears) and Mathias Liverman,
was born in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, 9 December 1863. He
removed with his parents to Texas in 1870, living in Tyler County until
1876. Afterward he lived in several other Texas counties including
Houston, Cherokee, Tarrant, Llano and Hill. On the morning of 1 December
1885, he left his home in Hill County, headed for McCulloch, settling in
the Voca community.
Four years later, on 23 December, 1889, he married Belle Banta, who was
born in Burnet County on 6 February 1869, Her parents were Margaret
Jane (Keith) and David Riley Banta.
W. N. Liverman earned his livelihood as a farmer and carpenter. He
died 14 February 1945. Belle lived until 28 March 1963. Their
children were Lillian, George, and John Wilson.
