Mrs. Belle Rutherford of Brady, who makes her home now at the Wilson Rest Home, observed her 102nd birthday Sunday, March 27.
Her daughter, Mrs. Frank Ogden, and granddaughter, Mrs. K. D. Lindsay, were hostess to open house Sunday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30 o'clock.
At least 50 guests from Btrady called during the afternoon and her two other daughters from out of town were able to attend.  They are Mrs. Annie Thompson and Mrs. John M. Wilson, Sr. of Dallas.
Other out-of-town guests were Mrs. W. F. McNaughton, a niece, of Fort Worth; Allen Thompson, her oldest grandson, of Forth Worth, John Wilson, Jr., grandson,  Houston,  and two other grandsons and families Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Ogden, Patsy and Richard, and Frank R. Ogden, all of Abilene.
Mrs. Rutherford received many birthday cards from her friends which she appreciated very much, but one she prizes most highly is that from President Dwight D. Eisenhower, personally signed by him.
