    Jerry Spiller was born on January 27, 1857 in Milam County.  He came to McCulloch County with his parents when he was 8 years old and settled near Voca where they engaged in cattle raising and farming.  He married Miss Emily Jane Ogle in 1882, and then moved to Brady in 1910.  Mr. Spiller was deputy under the first sheriff of McCulloch County, who was H. T. Eubank.  Mr. and Mrs. Spiller's children are:  E. E. Spiller of Brady, Mrs. Lena Bird Mathews of Voca, Fred Spiller of Brady, and Mrs. Mamie Emma Britton of Pleasanton.
