FRED  TAYLOR

     Born in Missouri, he married in 1897 at Coleman, Texas to Rosa Etta Babb with Rev. Moss officiating.  Rosa was born 28 January, 1880.
     He was a son of Virginia (Flippin) and James Frank Taylor, who were married in Denton, Texas, 18 July 1865, removing to Coleman County in 1879, after selling out in Denton County.  J. F., born in Missouri was the son of Catherine (Koger) and Josiah Taylor, both born in Kentucky-he in 1813; she in 1820.  She died in 1857.
     J. F. in 1900 bought the Concho Cattle Corporation of Texas in the counties of Concho and McCulloch, and this has been home to the Fred Taylor family since.
     Rosa (Babb) Taylor ( Mrs. Fred)  daughter of Sara (Shipman) and William Babb, who was born in Missouri, lives with her daughter, Reta Mae Stallings, at 800 West 15th Street in Brady.  Fred died 8 May 1954.
     The children of Rosa (Babb) and Fred Taylor are Reta Mae, J. F. (deceased) and Babb.
